For the landmark Brabazon project, Whitehead Building Services needed a high performance concrete fixing solution that would maximise productivity, minimise downtime and support a clean, dust free site environment.
With corridor containment and cable fixings required across 1,514 student accommodation units, speed, consistency and safety were essential. The chosen solution had to match the scale and pace of the development while delivering reliable performance and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship throughout the build.
The Solution

We worked closely with Whitehead Building Services from the outset, visiting their head office to demonstrate the performance and productivity advantages of the Pulsa system for large scale residential developments. Following a detailed review of their installation requirements, we specified HC6 22 mm Pulsa pins paired with snap off clips as the ideal solution for securely fixing cable runs within individual units.
Comprehensive technical data sheets provided full confidence in load performance and fire compliance, ensuring the system met both design intent and regulatory standards.
The 18th Edition compliant snap off clips, with a 120 minute fire rating, were perfectly suited to the demands of a high occupancy student accommodation project.
Beyond speed and efficiency, the Pulsa system enabled safer, dust free installation, supporting Whitehead Building Services’ commitment to robust health and safety practices on a busy, large scale construction site.
